Affordable  and integrable

ADwin-light-16 is designed as an inexpensive alternative for applications with a limited number of inputs and outputs, making it ideal for use in OEM applications. It uses the same SHARC DSP as the "larger" systems ADwin-Gold I and ADwin-Pro. This means that high computing power is also available here.

The ADwin-light-16 is available in the following designs:

  • L16-PCI: PCI plug-in card
  • L16-EURO: EURO slot for any 19" housing
  • L16-EXT: In a robust small metal housing for flexible use as a tabletop device, for installation in a control cabinet, or as a portable device.

The performance features of the basic version are:

  • CPU T9: SHARC DSP, 32-bit, 256 kB DSP RAM, floating point arithmetic, Analog Devices
  • 16 MB local memory (SDRAM) for measurement data
  • 8 analog inputs, 2 analog outputs at 16 bits
  • 6 digital inputs, 6 digital outputs
  • 2 incremental counters
  • Trigger input
  • Ethernet or USB interface
  • Interface for serial LS bus

  • 1 CAN interface (high speed or low speed)
  • Two 32-bit forward/reverse counters (replacing the counters in the standard version) for
    • Pulse measurement
    • Period duration measurement
    • Duty cycle measurement
    • Four-edge evaluation for connecting incremental encoders.

L16-DIO2

  • 32 digital inputs/outputs (programmable in groups of 8)
  • 1 SSI decoder

With the bootloader, light-16 can automatically execute a program after being switched on. This allows operation without a PC.

Bootloader

  • Starts up to 10 processes after switching on
  • Operates independently of the PC
  • Can store up to 16,000 values in flash memory
